1_Forge: Three agencies, one alliance - for strong TYPO3 projects at eye level
In the digital agency world, there is often talk of mergers. Of synergies, scaling and new alliances. Sounds like business bingo at first, but what if something new is really being created? Something real. Not a takeover project, not a holding structure, but an honest alliance at eye level.
That's exactly what 1_Forge is.
A merger of three agencies that have been firmly anchored in the TYPO3 cosmos for many years: dkd from Frankfurt, sitegeist from Hamburg - and us, punkt.de from Karlsruhe.

what unites us is not a financial investor, but a shared understanding of how good digital projects are created: with technical depth, open communication, trust - and a community that we not only know, but also help to shape.
TYPO3 and open source solutions are our DNA - not just our business model
In recent years, we have observed how the TYPO3 market is changing. Large projects are increasingly moving to agencies that are not necessarily deeply rooted in the community, but impress with their size, buzzwords and processes.
With 1_Forge we show: There is another way.
We bring together what belongs together: many years of project experience, certified TYPO3 knowledge, agile methods, a close connection to the open source community - and the ability to reliably manage even larger projects.
And best of all: we don't work side by side, but really together. As a well-coordinated team that can rely on each other.
Who is 1_Forge? Three agencies with substance
dkd Internet Service GmbH (Frankfurt)
A digital agency on the market for over 20 years, with around 60 specialists in development, UX, SEO and consulting. dkd is TYPO3 through and through - with the most TYPO3 certifications worldwide, seven TYPO3 awards, its own Solr workshops and great commitment to the community.
Its managing director Olivier Dobberkau is not only an entrepreneur, but also the president of the TYPO3 Association - proximity to the community is not just an empty phrase here, but an everyday reality.
sitegeist media solutions GmbH (Hamburg)
Owner-managed, around 70 employees, over 25 years on the market. sitegeist is a TYPO3 Platinum Member and Solution Partner with over 200 realized TYPO3 projects.
They are one of the most active contributors in the TYPO3 universe and have initiated and maintained numerous open source extensions such as Fluid Components, Editor Widgets or SMS Responsive Images.
And what is often forgotten: sitegeist is also methodically strong. With their own agile framework called RE.A.L., they bring structure, speed and clarity to complex projects.
punkt.de GmbH (Karlsruhe)
We have been an integral part of the TYPO3 community for over 20 years and have been on the market for almost 30 years - as a service provider, event organizer and contributor.
We develop secure, maintainable and scalable digital platforms - from identity management and single sign-on to portals with deeply integrated processes. And we believe in open source: we help shape it, we sponsor it, we show our presence.
For example, with the TYPO3 Developer Days, which we have been actively organizing for years - because we believe that active community creates real added value
Together more than the sum of our parts
With more than 160 colleagues, a combined annual turnover of over €15 million and a project culture based on trust, responsibility and quality, 1_Forge is a real alternative in the market:
Strong enough for large, complex projects
Fast enough for agile MVPs
Closely connected enough to act as a real team
And: We know our strengths - and those of our partners.
Our customers benefit from the fact that they don't have to manage three service providers, but work with a well-coordinated team that offers them solutions - coordinated, well thought-out, long-term.
TYPO3 needs attitude - and people who take responsibility
The fact that we are taking this step is no coincidence. It is also a conscious, economically sound decision: We believe in TYPO3. And in open source. And we believe that we can implement better projects in the long term - for public clients, for companies, for organizations with responsibility.
We are convinced that the future belongs to networks, not lone wolves. And to teams that not only know each other, but trust each other.
That's why 1_Forge is not a short-term pitch network, but a commitment.
Would you like to get to know us?
We will be on site at T3CON with a joint stand. Come by, talk to us, get to know the people behind 1_Forge.
Or take a look at 1forge.de where you can find out more about us, our projects and how we work together.
If you're looking for an agency that doesn't just deliver buzzwords, but takes responsibility - then let's talk.
Old certainties are crumbling, new questions are emerging. Who actually decides on technology? How independent are we really? And what role does open source still play? We share our observations from a year that has reorganized many things.
Working at punkt.de - getting started and the first few months
I've been at punkt.de for four months now and in that time I've already taken part in the team days, the Just Do It Day, as a helping hand at a conference and experienced a project going live.
