The competition was fierce: around 23 submissions for the Neos CMS Awards vied for the favor of the jury, which incidentally did not only consist of members of the Neos community. The main criteria this year were:
1. Impact - Influence on the Neos project as a CMS 2. Innovation - New features and concepts 3. Contribution - contribution to open source
Not only were we shortlisted together with our partner agency Kaufmann Digital along with 7 other projects, the jury subsequently awarded us the Silver Award!
Only the development of the website and app for RB Leipzig by Brandung GmbH landed ahead of us - congratulations from us at this point: you definitely deserve it!
Major projects: Scalability of Neos
A few brief words about the project itself. Our customer CompuGroup Medical (CGM) is a global provider of medical services and software (e-health). This also means that data security and privacy have top priority.
A good reason for CGM to opt for an open source solution: Open source simply offers the greatest transparency and the code can be viewed at any time. We also rely on open source for the technology stack in many areas at CGM.
What was special about the project, however, was its sheer size: 11 websites, 14 languages, over 200,000 nodes in Neos... In addition, there was a very tight schedule of 6 months for the implementation of the relaunch!
These challenges led to many innovations and contributions to the Neos project. More details are available from our colleague Michel Löw, who presented some technical highlights from the project at Neos Con 2022 (English, 3:17:27):
We are super happy about this success and would like to thank Kaufmann Digital, as well as our other partners made in (design) and webnetz (marketing).
Above all, of course, we would like to thank our customer CGM for the great and extremely productive cooperation, which ultimately not only led to the success of the project, but also to the success of Neos and the open source concept.
Finally, a few impressions from the award ceremony:

Our Open Source Learnings 2025
Old certainties are crumbling, new questions are emerging. Who actually decides on technology? How independent are we really? And what role does open source still play? We share our observations from a year that has reorganized many things.
Working at punkt.de - getting started and the first few months
I've been at punkt.de for four months now and in that time I've already taken part in the team days, the Just Do It Day, as a helping hand at a conference and experienced a project going live.
