Neos 9, Awards and Community
Once again this year, we helped to organize the Neos Conference 2025 in Karlsruhe once again.
From June 18 to 20, 2025, the Neos community met in Karlsruhe to discuss current topics in development and in the Neos environment.
For real Neos enthusiasts, the event continued on 21.06.2025 with the Contribution Day followed by the sprint at punkt.de.
One of the most exciting topics was certainly the long-awaited Neos version 9. The new content repository based on event sourcing concepts, the core of every CMS, has taken over nine years from concept to release and represents a huge technological advance in the field of content management systems.
Sebastian Kurfürst and Tobias Gruber presented the new version under the title "Digital Content Evolved". Especially in the areas of:
- Editor Experience
- Reliability and stability for pages with several editors working simultaneously
- Traceability / Audit Trail
neos 9.0 opens up completely new possibilities. It is the long-awaited kick-off to a wealth of now technically possible features, such as an undo function, collaborative working and more comprehensive asset management.
In addition to the exchange with the community and many interesting discussions, the Neos Awards were of course also in focus. We were particularly pleased to receive one award.
We were delighted for our colleagues as well as for ourselves, as we were able to provide the customer "Automobilgruppe Nord" with Keycloak as an IDP/IAM solution an important building block in the overall project.
Right from the start of the project, we were able to support our colleagues at Sitegeist with our Keycloak specialists and coordinate the integration of the SSO solutions into the customer's CRM into the customer's CRM. This allowed Sitegeist to concentrate on the main project and ultimately win the award.
With our team of Keycloak specialists, we are able to support agencies and companies in setting up an open source-based IDP/SSO solution with Keycloak and integrating it into the various applications. With our Keycloak Connect framework, even if, as in this case, the systems to be connected do not offer a native interface for modern SSO protocols.
As you can see from the ANAG project, with great success.
