Reading time approx. 2 minutes
The 5-Minute Talks are an internal company event that we use as a platform to find out what's going on in the company. The development teams get an insight into the work of the other development teams. The technology team reports on the progress made in the automation process and the marketing team provides information on current events relating to punkt.detYPO3 or Neos. The 5-minute talks take place once a month and the duration depends on the number of contributions. As a rule, we take about one and a half hours.
The principle is simple: everyone has the opportunity to report within five minutes...
- what new things they have learned
- what new tools they have discovered
- what they learned at the last trade fair/congress they attended
- what new tricks and tips they have for their colleagues
- what problems he has solved in the past or what challenges he is facing
- and, and, and.
All contributions that could be of interest to colleagues in any way are welcome.
With the help of the 5-minute talks, we always stay up-to-date and know what is going on in the company. It also helps colleagues to know who might be the contact person for certain issues, at least most of the time. Of course, another important aspect is that the whole company meets at this event, which also maintains personal networking between the teams.
To give you a better idea of what topics are discussed, Daniela Grammlich has prepared a sketch for you as a summary of the last 5-minute talks.
Perhaps you like this idea and would like to introduce it in your company or you have already done something similar, then we would be delighted if you could tell us about it.
