TYPO3 Codesprint in Paris

From June 15 - 18 the TYPO3 Codesprint took place in Paris. In order to support the French community, the sprint was hosted by smile in Paris. Andreas Wolf, an experienced core developer, and Alexander Krist, a newcomer to the TYPO3 scene, represented punkt.de. The French hosts provided the developers with excellent coffee and croissants and also used their local knowledge to guide them to good places to eat.

A total of 15 developers from Germany, France and Romania were represented at the sprint. Despite the TYPO3 7.3 release on Tuesday, a total of 79 patches were pushed into the TYPO3 master branch. The experienced developers also explained the Gerrit workflow to the sprint newcomers and actively supported them with tips when working on tickets, so that everyone contributed to the further development of TYPO3. Experiences were also exchanged and contacts made for the future over meals together.

A small group of the developers wanted to see the city of love from more than just a conference room and took the time to explore the city for at least a morning.

All in all, the sprint was a successful event from the perspective of the punkt.de developers. They want to continue to actively support the development of TYPO3 in the future and are already looking forward to the next sprint.
