There’s also a great deal of creativity behind the business solutions that punkt.de we develop. Of course, this doesn’t mean giving free rein to our creative impulses. After all, the customer’s wishes always come first. However, highly restrictive guidelines are actually quite rare.
Quite the opposite: Often, the client doesn’t even have a precise idea of what they actually want. This becomes clear, at the latest, when the briefing says: “We’d like a ‘fluffy’ menu for our website.” Fluffy scrambled eggs, fluffy pizza dough—almost everyone can picture what those are. But a “fluffy” menu? That takes a bit more imagination. And it requires original ideas to put the client on the right track and develop a shared understanding of what they’re actually looking for.
Once that’s clear, it’s time to get to work. Ingenuity is key here, too: because what the client wants isn’t always technically feasible. That’s why it’s often necessary to think outside the box—and that’s where you can really let your creativity run wild. A specific approach is rarely mandated; as long as the result is right, developers can do as they please: explore new technologies, use the latest toolkits, build applications in a new programming language or on a current system version—or, in short, be creative. The main thing is that the application works in the end. And, if possible, it should look decent, too. It’s a balancing act. One that punkt.de we know how to master this: We always meet our clients’ expectations relatively quickly—and quite well. Take the “fluffy” menu, for example: It’s online. It runs flawlessly from a technical standpoint. And it looks great, too.
