May we introduce: The new Neos Brand

Six days - 100% Neos. For four days, we worked feverishly to complete the new Neos website and the new brand - both were then presented at the Inspiring Conference and celebrated by the community.

From the conversations at breakfast until late at night, I dedicated six days one hundred percent to what I consider to be the most modern content management: Neos.

Traditionally, the week-long Neos Code Sprint takes place at the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences in the run-up to the Inspiring Conference. This year, Core Team members and interested parties from all over Germany and beyond met again. In addition to further work on the rewrite of the Neos backend with React and many discussions on various areas of the project, one topic in particular dominated this sprint: finalizing the new Neos brand and the redesigned project website neos.io.

With its appealing design, the new website not only makes you want to try out the CMS, but also provides more information and useful functions. All core features are explained in detail and many are illustrated with small animations. Another new feature is the Package Browser, which makes the existing extensions and site packages registered on packagist.org searchable and presents them in an attractive detailed view. In the community area you can get an idea of the core teams and the sponsors are also listed on their pages.

Both the new logo and the website were to be presented to the public for the first time at the Inspiring Conference. So the deadline was close - and work on it was correspondingly feverish.

Because we at punkt.de are convinced that Neos is a great system for our projects, we have not only decided to be a premium sponsor of the Inspiring Conference, but also want to support the marketing of the system and are therefore also a brand sponsor of the new Neos brand.

The Inspiring Conference directly followed the Codesprint on Friday. For two days, the new features of the CMS, best practices and case studies on implemented projects were presented in talks. We from punkt.de were there with five participants and enjoyed the exciting presentations and the good discussions with the other participants.

At the end of the first conference day, Robert Lemke and Florian Heinze told the story of how the new logo came about and presented the new Neos brand and the project's new website. Almost a year after the split from the TYPO3 Association, Neos now has a new brand:

It wasn't just the new Neos brand that was presented to the public for the first time at the conference. Jörg and Fabian presented the proServer - our new hosting solution specifically for Neos - at our punkt.de hosting stand and were available for questions and discussions. With the proServer, we want to close the gap between classic shared hosting, on which Neos can only run with restrictions, and high-maintenance root server solutions. The package is equipped with the latest PHP version and, with modern services such as Redis, Elasticsearch and Varnish, comes with everything that ambitious Neos projects require.

With the new brand and the momentum from an inspiring conference, Neos is starting an exciting new year. We at punkt.de are very much looking forward to implementing projects together with our customers and this great CMS.
