punkt.de Wins the TYPO3 Community Award for the nph project

In an era of dynamically reloaded page content, it’s becoming more common for navigating back to the previous page to produce an unexpected result. The range of possibilities here is wide and can even take you all the way back to the browser’s home page, even if you’ve been frantically clicking on the previous page. HTML5 offers a fairly simple way to prevent this from happening.

Yesterday evening, at this year’s T3CON in Munich, the revamped TYPO3 Award was presented for the second time in nine categories, along with the “Website of the Year” award (see all the winners here: award.typo3.org). New this year is the TYPO3 Community Award. This award is not selected by the jury but is chosen by the community through a vote for the best project.

We won this very award punkt.de with the shop extension we developed for the website hilfefuerwaisenkinder.de/shop/ for NPH Germany. Sebastian Helzle, the project’s product owner, Florian Franke from our partner agency made in—who were responsible for designing the shop—and Mr. von Houwald, one of our contacts on the client side, proudly and joyfully accepted the award in person.

We are incredibly proud of our velo team, which implemented this project in the first half of the year and is currently working to further optimize the shop and integrate new features. This not only makes donating easier but also allows, for example, donations to be made in someone else’s name (e.g., as a gift). Just in time for the TYPO3 Award, we integrated a feature that allows selected donations to be matched by third parties. For example, your donation to help those affected by Hurricane “Matthew” is currently being matched by our partners #T3HelpHaiti.

Once again this year, the entire event highlighted just how passionate agencies, clients, and individuals from the TYPO3 community are. For example, the best TYPO3 event was also honored and received a trophy. Even during the conversations following the gala evening in the bar at the Löwenbräu Keller, there was plenty of lively discussion, exchange, and debate.

It was a pleasure for us to attend this truly successful and entertaining event, and we would therefore like to take this opportunity to once again extend our heartfelt thanks to the sponsors and organizers.

Representatives from made in, nph deutschland, and punkt.de are delighted to receive the TYPO3 Community Award
