IPv6, continuous relaunch, scrum and layout testing

punkt.de has been around for 20 years now. During this time, we have gained a lot of experience and have always benefited from the knowledge of others, especially because we work almost exclusively with open source software. Now we also want to pass on some of our knowledge at conferences.

The following colleagues, including myself, are traveling to conferences in Germany and Copenhagen to bring you closer to various technical and less technical topics. Here is a brief overview:

  • The following Thursday (May 26, 2016), Wolfgang Zenker will give you a brief and crisp overview of the current status of IPv6. punkt.de has been actively promoting IPv6 for years, which means that all our servers at punkt.de Hosting are currently also accessible via IPv6. Wolfgang Zenker focuses in particular on the spread of IPv6 in open source projects and demonstrates how difficult it currently still is to access open source repositories with IPv6: https://ripe72.ripe.net/programme/meeting-plan/ipv6-wg/

  • Jürgen Egeling, our boss, will be speaking at Webinale on May 30, 2016 about why it is worth staying on the ball when developing a website or other web-based projects these days and who should pay particular attention to this. This means not commissioning web projects from a web agency once and then only thinking about what could be done differently in terms of technologies, design or similar in 3-7 years' time. The keyword here is continuous relaunch. Click here for the abstract of the talk: https://webinale.de/blog-en/

  • At Scrum Day on June 8, 2016, Annette Harder will present practical and, above all, practicable strategies to help Scrum masters of well-established Scrum teams to continuously improve.

  • Finally, at Developer Week on June 20, 2016, Christiane Helmchen and I will explain to developers and testers what layout testing is, what it does for customers and developers and how it can be used effectively in projects. To the detailed abstract: http: //www.developer-week.de/Programm/Veranstaltung/(event)/20559

So if you are interested in one of the topics, you should register for the relevant event as soon as possible.
