At a regular shareholders’ meeting, the shareholders initiated a plan for succession. As a first step, Daniel Lienert and Fabian Stein were appointed as managing directors. They will thus join forces with long-time managing director Jürgen Egeling to form a three-person management team, although the corresponding formal notification to the local court is still pending.
Daniel and Fabian have long been dedicated employees of punkt.de. After punkt.de decided several years ago to decentralize decision-making processes, the logical next step was to entrust Daniel and Fabian with additional responsibilities and enable them to play a greater role in shaping the future of punkt.de.
The shareholders anticipate that this will lead to continued positive development, particularly in the long term, and are pleased that Daniel and Fabian have agreed to the idea. With three managing directors, two must approve a resolution before it is adopted. The punkt.de expects this to result in more thorough planning for the important steps ahead.
After a brief introduction, we moved on to the workshop, where we were able to voice our concerns and hopes for the company’s future. The managing directors will work together to address the insights gained here, and following the initial meetings, they are confident that they will find a solution to the issues raised.
Fresh air and good conversation while playing "Boßeln" through Karlsruhe
In the afternoon, we were able to indulge in the North German sport of “Boßeln.” The goal of Boßeln is to roll a rubber ball to the end of a designated course in as few throws as possible. This sport is typically played in wide-open fields, in the dunes, and along the dike. In the absence of the scenic beauty of the North Sea, Karlsruhe’s city center and the “Klotze”—as the Günther-Klotz Park is called here—were quickly repurposed as the venue instead. The focus was on exercising together in the fresh air, but even here, one team emerged as the winner among the four. To wrap things up, all the teams celebrated together at “Marianne’s Flammkuchen.”
With a mix of “eager anticipation,” “due respect for the task ahead,” and a strong drive to get things done, the new trio of managing directors would like to express their gratitude for the trust placed in them from the outset.
