We create complex business solutions for our clients at a high level. As one of the leading TYPO3 & Neos agencies in Germany, we offer customized products that are tailored to individual needs.

"Our strength is really sharp people. Even if we have never seen a particular problem before, we will always find a solution. We work completely transparently for and with our customers. Customers know exactly what we are doing and can see on a daily basis how much time we have spent on their project. "

The challenge

Team meetings at punkt.de require both a digital and physical board to keep daily tasks on track. We started by using Jira digitally. However, this was not enough to address customer issues efficiently and in a timely manner.

Why agile cards for Jira?

About 7 years ago, punkt.de decided to introduce Scrum. The most efficient way to work was to use ticket systems, and Jira proved to be the best solution on the market. The option to extend its functionality by adding Agile Cards for Jira made everything much easier. Jürgen Egeling's 5-star rating on the Atlassian Marketplace speaks for itself:

"For us, Agile Cards are the missing link between digital Jira and our daily physical lives. We really can't live without it. The icing on the cake is a very helpful and fast hotline."

How punkt.de works with clients on Agile Cards

Before the team members at punkt.de get to Agile Cards, they sit down with a client and find the best solution for an idea. After initial discussions, punkt.de can publish the first working demo and proceed from there.

This initial result gives rise to further elaboration and refinement of the entire project so that the customer receives a customized final version.

Sprint planning in the office

How does punkt.de use Agile Cards?

First, we print Agile Cards from Jira in a desired format during sprint planning. Currently it is the A6 paper format. The template usually contains KR codes and issue descriptions. All this to make daily communication smoother alongside physical boards.

The Product Owner also prints out all the tickets for the day, which include a summary as well as an up-to-date comment so the team knows what they are working on. He reduces the size of the tickets - in A7 format. This allows us to resolve customer issues immediately. The consistency of the process is crucial here, as we believe in full transparency and reliability. Being in the market for over 20 years only proves the right direction.

Solving customer problems through printed agile cards has another advantage. Customers, once they get used to daily updates, are much calmer as they know exactly what to expect. There is no room for misunderstanding.

Especially as they can also use Agile Cards for their own needs. At face-to-face meetings, customers receive printed versions of the cards. As Jürgen Egeling emphasizes, this is intended to focus on the right topics.

"I deliberately try to avoid using a laptop or cell phone, as this distracts attention. Instead, I print out my third variant of Agile Cards. These cards are printed on both sides of the A6 sheets."

If you get all the information you need in the form of cards, maintaining the backlog is quite simple. Together with a customer, they can move the cards around, mark them with different colored pens and prioritize them. Such a process removes any anxiety and allows everyone to focus fully on the issues.

Results

  • A motivated team that has clear guidelines on what to focus on every day.
  • Satisfied customers who are kept up to date on the progress of their work.
  • Seamless synchronization of digital and physical cards makes the daily work of punkt.de particularly efficient.

Would punkt.de recommend Agile Cards for Jira?

Without a doubt. Agile Cards for Jira have become an integral part of punkt.de 's daily work. The Atlassian Marketplace report speaks for itself:

"At punkt.de we have been using Agile Cards in all our Jira projects for years. The card designer is very easy to use, and so we have quickly and easily designed a few unique layouts for daily use. It's really nice when you hand out the cards in the morning in daily so our developers can find a quick fix and ditch the paper to get their daily acknowledgement. Since we also have physical boards in our room, we use larger cards to fill our board (...). For us, Agile Cards are the missing link between the digital Jira and our daily physical life. I really can't live without it. The icing on the cake is a very helpful and fast hotline."
