Together with 14 colleagues, we traveled to the capital full of anticipation to immerse ourselves in the world of NeosCMS and other web technologies for two days.

The opening and keynote kicked off right on time at 10:00 am. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Sandstorm and Sitegeist for putting on another great event this year. It was fantastic to see old acquaintances again and to exchange ideas with colleagues from other agencies.

There were lots of exciting presentations on the very first day. For example, Michael Lihs presented "CI/CD Pipelines for Cloud" and many new insights into Neos 9.0 were shared. The new version is a real leap in the possibilities of the system and of course also poses challenges in terms of updatability and optimization of existing applications. But the community is standing together and taking this big and decisive step together. This is open source in the best sense of the word.

Friday was just as exciting. Our CTO Daniel Lienert presented how we can build better performing applications with gRPC and new PHP frameworks than with conventional technologies. The topic of sustainability was also omnipresent at the event. We were impressed by how the industry is questioning itself and considering how it can make a contribution to combating the climate catastrophe.

All in all, Neos Con 2023 was a complete success for us. We had some great encounters and impulses and received an incredible amount of input. We are proud to be part of this open source community and are convinced that we work better together than against each other. We are already looking forward to next year with this colorful and competent community!
