This year, we were thrilled to host the Neos Conference in Karlsruhe for the first time. From May 30 to 31, the Neos community gathered to experience two days full of innovation, collaboration, and enthusiasm. Together with our partners at Sandstorm, we organized the event and would like to extend our thanks to Sebastian Kurfürst and Jürgen Egeling, on behalf of their teams, for their excellent preparation. As a Gold Sponsor, we were of course once again part of the event this year.
The conference began on Thursday morning on the usual professional stage, accompanied for the first time by the Neos Community Orchestra.
Over the course of two days, the conference offered not only exciting presentations and interesting insights from the Neos ecosystem, but also numerous opportunities for great conversations with old acquaintances and new fans of the CMS.
We were particularly pleased with the presentation by our colleague André Hoffmann.
Over the past few months, André had been working intensively on an extension that uses artificial intelligence to automatically generate a complete page in Neos content elements from a text, including the creation of images that reinforce the text’s message.
His findings were received with great interest by the conference attendees.
Contribution Day
Although the conference officially ended on Friday afternoon, a few particularly dedicated members of the Neos community stayed until Saturday to participate in Contribution Day. There, they were able to learn from experienced developers how to fix bugs they had found and how to integrate missing features for their own client projects into the core. This day provided a valuable opportunity for hands-on learning and for strengthening collaboration within the community.

But the Neos community’s dedication didn’t stop there. After a short day of rest on Sunday, the core development team met at our office on Monday to spend another three days working intensively on Neos and other important topics related to the open-source project.
As always, there was no shortage of fun! It was an ideal opportunity to get to know the CMS and the people behind it better—something you and your developers should definitely treat yourselves to sometime.
The Neos conference here in Karlsruhe was a resounding success and once again demonstrated just how vibrant and dedicated the Neos community is. We’re already looking forward to hosting this inspiring event again next year and playing an active role in shaping the future of Neos.
