As an agency specializing in personalized development and open-source digitalization, it’s important for us to be where our potential customers are.
At the Hannover Messe, companies from a wide variety of industries—ranging from drive technology, energy, research and development, and industrial IT to the supplier industry—come together.
Hannover Messe is one of the largest industrial trade shows and the ideal place for us to strike up conversations and gain insights into current trends and what matters most to companies.
In recent years, we’ve been able to win over clients from the industry and have noticed that the chemistry is right. It’s especially our down-to-earth approach—with our sleeves rolled up—combined with nearly 30 years of experience in development, infrastructure, and hosting that really makes the difference.

Although the topic of “open source” is present at the trade show, it seems to play a secondary role. Most of the exhibitors offering software solutions that I spoke with provide proprietary solutions.
On the one hand, this seems to be a historical development; particularly in specialized areas of production and process management, companies rely on tried-and-true solutions. But a lack of awareness about the advantages of open source also plays a major role.
Especially in specialized fields, there are good reasons to rely on proprietary solutions. Yet, particularly when it comes to data integration and the digitization of processes, custom development using open source can offer distinct advantages and reduce dependence on individual software vendors.
Whether it’s visualizing complex data, integrating different systems, or embedding solutions into existing system landscapes. I would focus our efforts in Hanover for 2026 on addressing reservations about open source in discussions and alleviating fears of change.

What immediately stands out is that, even after the COVID-19 pandemic, trade shows still seem to be highly valued by the industry. The show was well-attended, and the atmosphere was significantly better than expected, despite the challenging economic environment. It was absolutely the right decision for us to attend the Hannover Messe and speak with exhibitors and companies.
Felix Kriss from our partner agency “made in” was also able to gather valuable insights and inspiration. What definitely stuck with us is that even in 2025, there will still be companies that commission expensive trade show booths without making it clear who the exhibitor is or what solutions or products they’re selling. That did surprise us a bit; even at the booth, they couldn’t really explain it to us, except with the occasional buzzword bingo. It’s definitely an incentive to do better.
I’m definitely looking forward to the 2026 Hannover Messe—hopefully together with Felix. Maybe we’ll see each other there?
